Common Question: Why is Sunscreen Important During The Spring & Winter Months?
Surprisingly, the sun’s UV rays are harmful during this time of year because theozone layer is at its thinnest. So aging and skin-cancer causing UVA rays are actuallyat its highest(even though sunburn rays caused by UVB rays are at its lowest during this time).
Staying indoors may block most UVB rays, which cause sunburn, but allows more UVA rays through windows. UVA exposure has been linked to skin cancer, photoaging, and pigmentation issues. Therefore, being indoors near windows may not provide adequate protection against harmful UV rays.

Cold-pressed Jojoba

And jojoba is the closest plant-based oil that is similar to our sebum, making it the perfect choice. It's NOT unstable like other plant based oils, which is a common misconception.
So even though it's a "seed oil," it doesn't have ANY of the dangerous properties found in highly processed, unstable oils like sunflower oil.

Also, tallow is one of the most environmentally friendly ingredients out there! Grass-fed tallow is produced with no pesticides, no fertilizers, and no industrial processing.
And for those claiming we are contributing to the killing of animals:
No rain forests or land is destroyed (like they are with seed oils).
And in fact, most tallow is thrown away, so by repurposing it, we are minimizing waste.

We use a process called Wet Rendering to purify our tallow. This method uses only water and mild natural substances like baking soda—no harsh chemicals or toxic solvents like hexane. Absolutely! It is formulated to provide broad-spectrum protection, which means it effectively shields your skin from both UVA and UVB rays. Our active ingredient, non-nano zinc oxide, is a mineral that is highly effective at blocking out both types of harmful rays, keeping your skin safe and healthy under the sun. In fact, tallow closely resembles the structure of the oils naturally produced by our skin, so it's readily absorbed and extremely beneficial. However, everyone's skin is different. We recommend doing a patch test before trying any new cosmetics.

We recommend reapplying every 2 hours during sun exposure. If you're swimming or sweating, reapply immediately after towel drying. It provides up to 90 minutes of protection in water.

The expiry date is printed on the back of the product. It has a shelf life of three years when stored properly in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Since we don’t use synthetic preservatives, the freshness of the product depends on storage conditions. Once opened, we recommend using it within 12 months for the best experience.
